PGM creation WinXiso error

The problem is caused by a wrong conversion of the iso program file created by PARTNER/ASPAN to the Xilog/XilogPlus binary format. To do this conversion, PARTNER/ASPAN uses a utility created by SCM: WinXiso.exe. Usually, PARTNER/ASPAN has a copy of the winxiso file (and all the related DLLs) in its installation folder, but as you can understand, considering all the versions of the Xilog interface, sometimes happens that this version cannot work with the Xilog used on the machine.

To bypass this, there are two ways:

Solution 1

If you have the same Xilog/XilogPlus of the machine installed on the PC:

  1. from the first/main window of Aspan you can execute the command "Utility -> Technical menu -> Modify Preferences", select the "Configuration" tab
    - search the "XisoExePath" parameter and set its value as the path where is possible to find the "WinXiso.exe" file in the Xilog/XilogPlus installation (usually "C:\Programs\Scm Group\Xilog Plus\Bin");
  2. Search the option "Xilog.UseWinXiso" and verify that its value is set to 1;
  3. Confirm with the "Ok" button and restart the program.

N.B. If the registry keys listed above should not be found, you must add them using the appropriate button "Add".

Solution 2

If you don't have the Xilog/XilogPlus installed on the PARTNER/ASPAN PC:

    1. from the first/main window of PARTNER/ASPAN you can execute the command "Utility -> Technical menu -> Modify Preferences", select the "Configuration" tab;
    2. search the "Xilog.UseWinXiso" parameter and check that its value is 1;
    3. copy from the machine PC the WinXiso.exe file and put it in the PARTNER/ASPAN installation folder overwriting the existing one
    4. start the program and try to create a program, probably some errors will appear concerning some missing DLLs:

dll

You need to copy each one of them and retry the program generation.
