Here follows an extensive explanation for all possible cases.

These keys were designed for old 386 PC's when Windows 3.1 did not already exist. Some new computers (all Pentium, some 486) have a Parallel Printer Port that is not fully standard (Bi-directional, EPP, ECP). This may lead to some problems in reading our old ASPAN3 or TASK2 keys. The suggestion if problems such as "Error Reading Data from the key" or "HardLock Not Found" are encountered are:

1) Set the PC BIOS mode for the parallel port as Standard or SPP;

2) If you have a Printer or some other hardlock key, remove everything from the Port and leave only the ASPAN3 or TASK2 key;

3) If problems persist, check if the Parallel Port installed in your computer is correctly installed (I/O base address and IRQ);

4) Try running ASPAN3 from a Windows DOS prompt;

If problems persist, the only way to let ASPAN run is to install a secondary Parallel Printer Port. This Port must be a Standard Parallel Port (not Bi-directional, not EPP not ECP). It must be installed in order to avoid hardware conflicts (I/O base address and IRQ) with the first Port.

Queste chiavi sono state progettate per i vecchi PC 386, quando Windowsancora non esisteva.
Alcuni nuovi PC (tutti i Pentium, alcuni 486) hanno porte paralleleche non sono pienamente standard (Bi-direzionali, EPP, ECP).
Questo puo' portare ad alcuni nella lettura delle vecchie chiavi diASPAN3 (TASK2).
Per i programmi ASPAN4 o TASK3 c'e' una scappatoia. In caso di errore del tipo "Errore in lattura dati chiave"o "chiave non trovata", per tentare di risolvere il problemaseguire i seguenti passi:

Le chiavi di ASPAN4 o TASK3 funzionano solo sulle versioni Windows di ASPAN e TASK (ASPAN4+ o TASK3+). Le versioni DOS dei programmi (ASPAN3 o TASK2) non potranno mai funzionare.

1. Impostare nel BIOS del PC la porta parallela come Standard o SPP.
2. Se si ha una stampante o qualche altra chiave, rimuovere tutto dalla porta e lasciare soltanto la chiave di ASPAN3 o TASK2.
3. Se il problema persiste, controllare se la porta parallela nel computer e' installata correttamente(indirizzo I/O e IRQ).
4. Provare ad eseguire ASPAN3 o TASK2 da una finestra DOS.
5. Se il problema persiste, l'unico modo per eseguire ASPAN o TASK e' quello di installare nel PC una seconda porta parallela. Questa deve essere Standard (non Bidirezionale, non EPP non ECP). Deve essere installata evitando conflitti hardware (indirizzo I/O e IRQ) con la porta parallela primaria.
6. Impostare nel BIOS del PC la porta parallela come Standard o SPP.
7. Se si utilizza Windows 3.1 impostare pa porta parallela come "Standard", e non "Quick Print Access".
8. Eseguire ASPAN4 o TASK3 (doppio click sull'icona ASPAN4 o sull'icona TASK3) parecchie volte. Dopo alcuni tentativi falliti, ASPAN o TASK dovrebbero funzionare correttamente.
9. Se si ha una stampante o qualche altra chiave, rimuovere tutto dalla porta e lasciare soltanto la chiave di ASPAN3 o TASK2.
10. Se il problema persiste, controllare se la porta parallela nel computer e' installata correttamente(indirizzo I/O e IRQ).
11. Se il problema persiste, e' necessario che vi spediamo alcuni file (dobbiamo sapere il numero di serie della chiave, la data della chiave, la versione completa di ASPAN4 o TASK3 (esempio: ASPAN 4.05 p0)).
    Se installate "ASPAN: SERVICE" (TASK: SERVICE) invece di "ASPAN: INSTALLAZIONE / AGGIORNAMENTO" dai dischi di ASPAN4 o "TASK: INSTALLAZIONE / AGGIORNAMENTO" dai dischi di TASK3, eseguire "Service Sheet", stamparlo ed inviarlo a noi: tutte le informazioni richieste sono in quella stampa.
12. Se il problema persiste, l'unico modo per eseguire ASPAN o TASK e' quello di installare nel PC una seconda porta parallela.
